بَابُ مَا يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا زُكِّيَ

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ لاَ تَقُولُوا لِلْمُنَافِقِ‏:‏ سَيِّدٌ، فَإِنَّهُ إِنْ يَكُ سَيِّدَكُمْ فَقَدْ أَسْخَطْتُمْ رَبَّكُمْ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ‏.‏
Abdullah ibn Burayda reported from his father that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Do not call a hypocrite 'master'. He is not your master and you will have angered your Lord, the Mighty and Exalted."
