باب المَعَاصِي مِنْ أَمْر الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَلَا يُكَفِّرُ صَاحِبُهَا بِارْتِكَابَهَا إِلَّا بِالشِّرْكِ

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ (ﷺ) قَالَ: بَيْنَما رَجُلٌ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ مِنَ الخُيَلاَءِ خُسِفَ بِهِ، فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيامَةِ) .

Narrated Ibn 'Umar

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "While a man was walking, dragging his dress with pride, he was caused to be swallowed by the earth and will go on sinking in it till the Day of Resurrection." [4:692-O.B]
