56. The Book of Virtues and Merits of the Companions of the Prophet. [and Any Muslim Who Enjoyed the Company of the Prophet or Saw Him, Is Regarded as One of His Companions].

2/33 Chapter: The fear of a believer that his good deeds may be annulled (lost) without his knowledge.
باب: خَوْفِ المُؤْمِن مِنْ أَنْ يَحْبَطَ عَمَلُهُ وَهُوَ لَا يَشْعُرُ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ الله عنها قالَتْ : جَاءَتْ هِنْدُ بِنْتُ عُتْبَةَ، قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، مَا كَانَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ مِنْ أَهْلِ خِبَاءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ أَنْ يَذِلُّوا مِنْ أَهْلِ خَبَائِكَ، ثُمَّ ما أَصْبَحَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَهْلُ خِبَاءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ أَنْ يَعِرُّوا مِنْ أَهْلِ خِبَائِكَ، قَالَ: وَأَيْضَاً وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ وباقي الحَدِيث قَدْ تَقَدَّمَ .

Narrated Aisha

"Hind bint 'Utba came and said, 'O Allâh's Messenger (ﷺ)! (Before I embraced Islâm) there was no family on the surface of the earth I wished to see in degradation more than I did your family, but today there is no family on the surface of the earth I wish to see honoured more than I did yours." " The Prophet (ﷺ): said, "I thought similarly, by Him in Whose Hand my life is ! [1] [5:168 (C) -O.B]
[1] She further said, "0 Allah's Messenger! Abü Sufyân is a miser so is it sinful to me to feed my children from his property?" He said, "I do not allow it unless you take for your needs what is just and reasonable."
