2/14 Chapter: The Statement of Allâh: But, if they repent and perform Iqâmat-As-Salat [offer (prayers) perfectly] and give Zakât [1] then leave their way free." (V. 9:5).
[1] Zakât: A certain fixed proportion of the wealth and of the each and every kind of the property liable to Zaltht of a Muslim to be paid yearly for the benefit of the poor in the Muslim community. The payment of Zakát is obligatory as it is one of the five pillars of Islam. Zakát is the major economic means for establishing social justice and leading the Muslim society to prosperity and security. [See Sahih Al-Bukhári, Vol. 2, Book of Zakát (24)].

Sahih

Narrated Jâbir bin 'Abdullâh

The Prophet (ﷺ) used to pray the Zuhr at mid-day, and the Asr at a time when the sun was still bright, the Maghrib after sunset (at its stated time) and the Isha ' at a variable time. Whenever he saw the people assembled (for Isha ' prayer) he would offer (prayer) earlier and if the people delayed, he would delay the Salât (prayer). And they or the Prophet (ﷺ) used to offer the Fajr prayer when it was still dark. [1:535-0.B.]
