حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ، جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَتِيقٍ، عَنْ طَلْقِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، عَنِ الأَحْنَفِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏‏ هَلَكَ الْمُتَنَطِّعُونَ ‏"‏ ‏‏ قَالَهَا ثَلاَثًا ‏‏
Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Ruined, were those who indulged in hair-splitting. He (the Holy Prophet) repeated this thrice.
