حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ تَسَحَّرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ثُمَّ قُمْنَا إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ ‏.‏ قُلْتُ كَمْ بَيْنَهُمَا قَالَ قَدْرُ قِرَاءَةِ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً ‏.‏
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that Zaid bin Thabit said:
"We ate Suhur with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) then we got up to perform prayer." I said: "How long was there between the two?" He said: "As long as it takes to recite fifty Verses."
