8. 'Musnad Abu Ishaq Sa''d bin Abi Waqqas'

Musnad AhmedIt was narrated from ’Amir bin Sa"d bin Abi Waqqas, that his father Sa"d said:
I said: O Messenger of Allah, can I bequeath all my wealth (to charity)? He said: "No." I said: Two thirds of it? He said: "No.” I said: Half of it? He said: “No” I said: One third? He said: "One third, and one third is a lot. If one of you leaves his family in a good state, that is better for him than leaving them dependent on what people give them."
