Musnad AhmedRabee"ah bin Shaiban narrated that he said to al-Hasan bin "Ali (رضي الله عنه):
What do you remember from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? He said: He took me into the store room where the zakah was kept, and I took a date from it and put it in my mouth. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Take it out, for it is not permissible for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) or for any other members of his household."
