Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to wear a gold ring. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood up and threw it away and said, "I will never wear it." He said, "So the people threw away their rings."
