We were with Abu Hurayrah (ra) and he had on two garments dyed dark red made from linen so he blew his nose in one of them. Then Abu Hurairah said: Wow, look at Abu Hurairah, he blows his nose in linen. I can still see myself falling down unconscious between the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and the apartment of Aisha (ra) until someone would come along and place their foot on my neck assuming that I had gone insane But I was not insane; it was nothing but hunger.

The Prophet (S) never ever filled his stomach with bread, nor with meat except in the situation of

dafaf. Malik bin Dinar asked a Bedouin man: What is

dafaf? He responded: That he would eat with the people.
