822Abu Dawoodحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَابْنُ السَّرْحِ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَصَاعِدًا " قَالَ سُفْيَانُ لِمَنْ يُصَلِّي وَحْدَهُ Ubadah b. al-Samit reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying :the prayer is not valid I one does not recite fatihat al-kitab and something more, sufyan( the narrator) said: This applies to a man who prays alone.Reference: Sunan Abi Dawud 822 In-book : Book 2, Hadith 432 English translation : Book 2, Hadith 821
