The Book of Chapters About the Sutra of Musalli The Sutra [1] of the Imâm is also a Sutra for those who are behind him.
باب: سُتْرَةُ الإِمَامِ سُتْرَةُ لِمَن خَلْفَهُ
[1] Sutra: An object like a pillar, wall or stick, a spear etc., the height of which should not be less than a foot and must be in front of a person offering Salát (prayer) to act as a symbolical barrier between him and the others.

Mukhtasar Sahih Al-Bukhariعَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ﷺ) أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ بِجِلَالِ الْبُدْنِ الَّتِي نُحِرَتْ وَبِجُلُودِهَا .
Narrated 'Ali
Allâh's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered me to give in charity the skin and the coverings of the Budn which I had slaughtered. [2:765-O.B.]
