Narrated Abdullah bin Mas'ud that he did the Ramy from the middle of the valley. So it was said to him some people do the Ramy (of the Jamra) from above it (i.e. from the top of the valley)." He said, "By Him except Whom none has the right to be worshipped, this is the place from where the one on whom Sûrat Al-Baqarah was revealed (i.e. Allâh's Messenger (ﷺ) did the Ramy." [2:803-O.B.]
