31. The Book of As-Saum (The Fasting)

مختصر صحيح البخاري

2/25 Chapter: To observe Şaum [fasts (according to Islâmic teachings)] during the month of Ramaḍân (sincerely and faithfully) hoping for Allâh's Rewards only, is a part of faith.
باب: صَوْمُ رَمَضَانَ احْتِسَاباً مِنَ الإِيمَانِ

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ الله عَنْهُ قَالَ : كُنَّا نُسَافِرُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ (ﷺ) فَلَمْ يَعِبٍ الصَّائِمُ عَلَى المُفْطِرِ، وَلَا الْمُفْطِرُ عَلَى الصَّائِمِ .

Narrated Anas bin Mâlik

We used to travel with the Prophet (ﷺ) and neither did the persons observing Ṣaum (fast) criticize those who were not observing Șaum (fast), nor did those who were not observing Şaum (fast) criticize the observing Saum (fast) ones. [3:168-0.B]
