1/79 Chapter:

The saying of the Prophet (ﷺ): "Allah does not sleep" and "His veil is light, and if he were to remove it, the splendour of his face would burn all of his creation, as far as his sight reaches".

باب فِي قَوْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَنَامُ». وَفِي قَوْلِهِ: «حِجَابُهُ النُّورُ لَوْ كَشَفَهُ لأَحْرَقَ سُبُحَاتُ وَجْهِهِ مَا انْتَهَى إِلَيْهِ بَصَرُهُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ»

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِثْلَهُ ‏.‏
A hadith like this has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him).
