وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ، اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَوْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ كَانَ مَعْمَرٌ أَحْيَانًا يَقُولُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَحْيَانًا يَقُولُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَرَى اللَّيْلَةَ ظُلَّةً ‏.‏ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِهِمْ ‏.‏
It is reported either on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas or on that of Abu Huraira that a person came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said:
Verily I saw during the night a canopy; the rest of the hadith is the same.
