44. The Book of the Merits of the Companions

Clarifying that faith decreases because of disobedience and negating it from the one committing the act of disobedience, with the meaning of negating its completion

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَوْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي، سُفْيَانُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏‏ اهْتَزَّ عَرْشُ الرَّحْمَنِ لِمَوْتِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ ‏"‏ ‏‏
Jabir reported that the Throne of the most Compassionate shook because of the death of Sa'd b. Mu'adh.
