If some people are equally proficient in the recitation of the Quran (and religious knowledge), the oldest of them should lead As-Salat (the prayer)

باب إِذَا اسْتَوَوْا فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَكْبَرُهُمْ

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الأَخْنَسِ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏‏ كَأَنِّي بِهِ أَسْوَدَ أَفْحَجَ، يَقْلَعُهَا حَجَرًا حَجَرًا ‏"‏‏‏
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "As if I were looking at him, a black person with thin legs plucking the stones of the Ka`ba one after another. "
