The Authentic Eid Takbeer
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah, Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil-hamd.
Sadaqat-ul-Fitr Rulings & Rates
Sadaqat-ul-Fitr is an obligatory charity on every Muslim possessing wealth above the Nisab threshold. It must be paid before Eid prayer so the poor can celebrate Eid.

Step-by-Step Rules for Eid Prayer

First Rakah:- Make intention in heart for 2 rakahs of Eid prayer, say Takbir Tahreema and fold hands.
- Recite Thana (Subhanak Allahumma...). Then the additional Eid Takbeers are pronounced.
- According to authentic Sunnah, pronounce additional Takbeers, raising hands with each Takbir.
- Imam will recite Surah Al-Fatiha and a Surah (e.g. Surah Al-A'la), then bow and prostrate as normal.

Second Rakah:- In second rakah, additional Takbeers are pronounced before or after Surah recitation.
- Imam recites Surah Al-Fatiha and another Surah, followed by ruku, sajdah, Tashahhud, and Salam.
- Listening attentively to the Eid Khutbah after the prayer is Sunnah.
12 Sunnah Acts on the Day of Eid
1. Taking a bath before heading to prayer
2. Wearing clean, best clothes
3. Applying pleasant perfume (Attar)
4. Eating odd number of dates before Eid-ul-Fitr prayer
5. Delaying breakfast on Eid-ul-Adha until after Qurbani
6. Paying Zakat al-Fitr before Eid prayer
7. Walking to the Eidgah / prayer place
8. Reciting Eid Takbeer on the way
9. Returning home via a different route
10. Greeting one another with Taqabbal Allahu Minna wa Minkum
11. Visiting family and neighbors
12. Bringing joy to the poor and needy
