Eid Takbeer
Authentic Eid Takbeer Text & Audio
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ
Pronunciation: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallahu, Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil hamd.
Translation: Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest; there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah; Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, and all praise belongs to Allah.

Authentic Step-by-Step Eid Prayer Rules
Both the 6 additional Takbeers (Hanafi) and 12 Takbeers methods are authentic and established from the Sunnah.
Method 1: 6 Additional Takbeers (Hanafi)
Common in South Asia- 1st Rak’ah: After Takbeer Tahrima and Thana, say 3 extra Takbeers (hands raised to ears), folding hands after 3rd.
- Imam recites Surah Al-Fatihah and another Surah, then completes Ruku and Sujood.
- 2nd Rak’ah: After recitation, say 3 extra Takbeers before Ruku, then 4th Takbeer goes directly into Ruku.
Method 2: 12 Additional Takbeers (Majority)
Sunnah / Arab World- 1st Rak’ah: 7 extra Takbeers before recitation (Abu Dawud: 1151).
- 2nd Rak’ah: 5 extra Takbeers before recitation upon standing from prostration.
- Both methods are authentic and valid according to Islamic scholars.
12 Important Sunnahs of Eid Day
1. Pray Fajr in congregation
