عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ (ﷺ) قَالَ: (كُلُّ أُمَّتِي يَدْخُلُونَ الجَنَّةَ إِلا مَنْ أَبَى). قالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، وَمَنْ يَأْبي؟ قَالَ: مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي دَخَلَ الجَنَّةَ، وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ أَبيِ).

Narrated Abu Huraira

Allâh's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "All my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse." They said, "O Allâh's Messenger (ﷺ)! Who will refuse?" He said, "Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it)." [9:384-O.B]

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : جَاءَتْ مَلَائِكَةُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ (ﷺ) وَهُوَ نَائِمٌ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: إِنَّهُ نَائِمٌ ، وَقالَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ نَائِمَةٌ وَالْقَلْبَ يَقْطَانُ، فَقَالُوا : إِنَّ لِصَاحِبِكُمْ هَذَا مَثَلًا، فَأَضْرِبُوا لَهُ مَثَلًا، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: إِنَّهُ نَائِمٌ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ نَائِمَةٌ، وَالْقَلْبَ يَقْطَانُ، فَقَالُوا مَثَلُهُ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ بَنَى دَارًا، وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا مَادُبَةٌ وَبَعَثَ دَاعِيًا ، فَمَنْ أَجَابَ الدَّاعِيَ دَخَلَ الدَّارَ وَأَكَلَ مِنَ المَأْدُبَةِ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُجِبِ الدَّاعِيَ لَمْ يَدْخُلِ الدَّارَ وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنَ المَأْدُبَةِ، فَقَالُوا : أَوّلُوهَا لَهُ يَفْقَهُهَا ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: إِنَّهُ نَائِمٌ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ نَائِمَةٌ وَالْقَلْبَ يَقْظَانُ، فَقَالُوا : فالدَّارُ الجَنَّةُ، وَالدَّاعِيَ مُحَمَّدٌ (ﷺ) ، فَمَنْ أَطَاعَ مُحَمَّدًا (ﷺ) فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ ، وَمَنْ عَطَى مُحَمَّدًا فَقَدْ عَطى الله ، وَمُحَمَّدٌ (ﷺ) فَرَّقَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ .

Narrated Jâbir bin 'Abdullah

Some angels came to the Prophet (ﷺ) (Muḥammad while he was sleeping. Some of them said, "He is sleeping ". Others said, "His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake." Then they said, "There is an example for this companion of yours. Then set forth an example for him." One of them said, "He is sleeping." Another said, "His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake." Then they said, "His example is that of a man who built a house and then offered therein a banquet and sent an inviter (Messenger (ﷺ)) to invite the people. So whoever accepted the invitation of the inviter, entered the house and ate of the banquet, and whoever did not accept the invitation of the inviter, did not enter the house, nor did he eat of the banquet." Then the angels said, Interpret this parable to him so that he may understand it." One of them said, "He is sleeping." The others said, His eyes are sleeping but his heart is awake " And then they said, "The house stands for Paradise and the call-maker is Muḥammad and whoever obeys Muḥammad, obeys Allâh; and whoever disobeys Muḥammad disobeys Allâh. Muhammad (ﷺ) separated the people (i.e., through his message, the good is distinguished from the bad, and the believers from the disbelievers)." [9:385-O.B]

باب مَا يُكْرَهُ مِنْ كَثْرَةِ السُّؤال وَمَنْ تَكَلَّفَ مَا لَا يَعْنِيهِ

87/2 Chapter: What is disliked of asking too many questions and of troubling oneself with what does not concern one.

باب مَا يُكْرَهُ مِنْ كَثْرَةِ السُّؤال وَمَنْ تَكَلَّفَ مَا لَا يَعْنِيهِ

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ﷺ): (لَنْ يَبْرَحَ النَّاسُ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا : هَذَا اللهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، فَمَنْ خَلَقَ اللَّه).

Narrated Anas bin Mâlik

Allâh's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "People will not stop asking questions till they say, 'This is Allâh, the Creator of everything, then who created Allâh? [9:399-O.B }

باب مَا يُذْكَرُ مِن دُمُ الرَّأْيِ وَتَكَلُّفِ الْقِيَاسِ

87/3 Chapter: What is said against judging (in religion) made on the basis of one's own opinion or by Qiyas (without referring to the Qur'ân or the Sunna).

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيِّ (ﷺ) يَقُولُ : (إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَنْزِعُ الْعِلْمَ بَعْدَ أَنْ أَعْطَاهُمُوهُ انْتِزَاعًا، وَلَكِنْ يَنْتَزِعُهُ مِنْهُمْ مَعَ قَبْضِ الْعُلَمَاءِ بِعِلْمِهِمْ، فَيَبْقَى نَاسٌ جُهَّالٌ، يُسْتَفْتَوْنَ فَيُفْتُونَ بِرَأْيِهِمْ، فَيُضِلُّونَ وَيَضِلُّونَ).

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr

I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "Allâh will not deprive you of knowledge after he has given it to you, but it will be taken away through the death of the religious learned man with their knowledge. Then there will remain ignorant people who, when consulted, will give verdicts according to their opinions whereby they will mislead others and go astray." [9:410-O.B]

باب قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ (ﷺ) : «لَتَتَّبَعُنَّ سُنَنَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ»

87/4 Chapter: The statement of the Prophet (ﷺ):'Certainly you (Muslims!) will follow the ways of those who were before you'.

باب قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ (ﷺ) : «لَتَتَّبَعُنَّ سُنَنَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ»

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، النبي (ﷺ) قال: (لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَأْخُذَ أُمَّتِي بِأَخْذِ الْقُرُونِ قَبْلَهَا، شيرًا بِشِبْرٍ وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ). فَقِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَفَارِسَ وَالرُّومِ؟ فَقَالَ: (وَمَنِ النَّاسُ إِلا أُولئِكَ).

Narrated Abu Huraira

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The Hour will not be established till my followers copy the deeds of the previous nations and follow them very closely, span by span, and cubit by cubit (i.e., inch by inch)." It was said, "O Allâh's Messenger (ﷺ)! Do you mean by those (nations) the Persians and the Byzantines?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Who can it be other than they?" [9:421-O.B]
